Meet The Team
Jose Romero began his career in sales at the very young age of fifteen. While still attending High School, he excelled as a traveling power tool salesman for a heavy equipment rental company. From the start, he implemented new sales strategies such as selling packaged “specials” instead of individual items and while working part time he began to immediately sell more than his fulltime colleagues. After graduating High School his entrepreneur spirit led him to start a successful mobile auto detailing business, it was this venture that would spark his passion for collector cars.
As an original member of the DriverSource team Jose’s attention to detail, exceptional customer service, and sales skills became evident to the principals and management, and was eventually asked to join the sales department. Again, he would thrive in this position to become the sales manager after only two years. Under his leadership, DriverSource Fine Motorcars’ sales department has become a force within the collector car community both nationally and internationally. His dedication and integrity have helped him build strong partnerships with other leading dealers and auction houses and he has been responsible for bringing some of the rarest and most desirable cars to market including various collections and estate offerings. In 2017 Sport Car Market recognized him in their 40 Under 40 issue as a key player in the collector car world. Always in pursuit and with a growing knowledge in his field, Jose is constantly evolving and brainstorming strategies with his team to grow a fundamentally strong company as well as expanding on his strong relationships with others in the industry.
Steve Ott began his career with automobiles at the age of 18, racing sportscars in SCCA Club Racing throughout the Colorado and New Mexico region. As his passion grew, he relocated to Houston for an opportunity to immerse in the sport full time, while also instructing drivers and driver development. It was during this time, working at racetracks, that Steve was recruited by DriverSource in its inaugural year to develop a service department - offering Maintenance, Repairs, Restoration, and Performance Enhancements to Exotic, Classic and Collector cars.
Since 2005, Steve has worked directly with clients to cultivate long term relationships that support the collector car community. Together with Jose Romero and Brandon Mason, he has continuously grown our Service and Storage departments, as well as directing our accounting department and providing assistance to the Sales team wherever needed.
Brandon traces his passion for automobiles to a very early age. His grandfather was an avid European sports car enthusiast, who immersed Brandon into the hobby throughout his childhood. Brandon began restoring his first classic vehicle at the age of fifteen, which transitioned him into the custom scene of the early 2000’s. After graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University with a bachelor’s degree in Advertising Design & Marketing, Brandon’s digital competency and automobile knowledge was the ideal addition to our rapidly growing DriverSource team.
In the year’s following, he has helped establish our company as a lasting and reputable global brand in the collector car industry. Brandon enjoys expanding his historical knowledge of vintage European automobiles, meeting new automotive enthusiasts, and participating in concours events, meets, and auctions across the globe. Today, he continues to help expand DriverSource’s digital and social presence, while striving to support strong sales and further develop the firm for years to come.
Photography and Marketing
Juan Martinez fell in love with the automotive industry at the age of 9 when he was gifted his first Porsche 993 turbo poster. Thereafter, he would cherish and collect every issue of “Revista Motor”, the only Colombian car magazine available at the time. Upon graduating college as a graphic designer, he moved to Houston, Texas to earn his specialization in digital photography and marketing.
In 2011, while finishing his studies, Juan joined the DriverSource team, having the opportunity to combine his childhood hobby with his career in the visual communication field. Since then, Juan Martinez’s signature work has been published globally on countless occasions. He continues to produce his signature detailed, comprehensive, and informative photography, as well as high end editorial work, in addition to graphic design and marketing pieces in print and digital media. Furthermore, he enjoys expanding his knowledge in European sports car, while supporting DriverSource’s position as one of the most significant classic car dealerships in the World.
