Nestled up in front of the driver lives a Formula 1-derived, Yamaha-developed 4.8-liter V-10 which produces spine tingling, blissful shrill unlike any other roadgoing car.

Intelligent variable-valve timing along with titanium valves and connecting rods allow the V-10 to rev from idle to a screaming 9,000 rpm in just six-tenths of a second. The engine revs so quickly that Lexus had to fit a digital cluster, as no analog tachometer could keep pace with the engine's ability to gain and lose revolutions. The LFA's advanced chassis construction and astonishing power delivery define pure automotive harmony and firmly place this model amongst the finest sportscars ever produced.
