A success upon introduction, the 2002 helped establish BMW's reputation for building compact sporting sedans. From 1971 to 1975, convertible variants of the 2002 were offered. Developed and manufactured by Karosserie Baur, the Targa conversion allowed the 2002 to be driven with the removable targa roof section in place or stored in the trunk above the luggage. The rear window section could also be lowered for an almost fully open-air experience.
Coupling imaginative German engineering with alfresco motoring, this 1972 BMW 2002 Targa presents very nicely throughout and is ready to be driven or displayed by its next owner.
