Beck 550 Spyder
This Beck 550 Spyder was assembled by Special Edition of Bremen, Indiana in 2015. Power is supplied by a 2.5-liter Subaru EJ25 flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle and Quaife limited-slip differential. The bodywork is finished in metallic silver with red stripes over red vinyl upholstery, and additional features include a removable black soft top, a headrest fairing, a hidden AM/FM CD stereo, Crow multi-point harnesses, four-wheel disc brakes, and 15” wide-five wheels. This 550 replica is being offered as part of DriverSource's Oktmotorfest Collection with build invoices and a Texas title that lists the car as a 1955 Beck.
Fiberglass bodywork is finished in metallic silver with red fender darts and #17 decals. Exterior features include a removable black soft top, gold Spyder badging, leather engine cover straps, fender-mounted side mirrors, chrome headlight rings, dual engine grilles, and a driver's fairing with an integrated headrest.
Silver-finished 15” wide-five wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires sized 155/80 up front and 205/60 out back. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs, and a full-size spare is found behind the engine.
The cabin features fixed-back bucket seats trimmed in red vinyl with matching door inserts and carpets. Equipment includes a chrome fire extinguisher, a passenger-side grab handle, hidden AM/FM CD stereo, height-adjustable rear-view mirror, 12-volt outlet, and Crow five-point harnesses.
A wood-rimmed Nardi replica steering wheel sits ahead of a body-color dashboard housing a central 8k-rpm tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and a combination gauge. The digital odometer shows 300 miles since the build was completed.
